Senior Software Engineer I, Full Stack

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Serve as a hands-on technical leader and Subject Matter Expert in React/TypeScript and Django/Python.

• Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive features across React applications, Django APIs, services, and PostgreSQL data models.

• Collaborate with Product and UX teams to transform intricate business workflows into user-friendly, accessible, and responsive experiences.

• Create secure, scalable RESTful APIs and integrate them with Google and other external services.

• Architect reusable frontend and backend patterns with well-defined boundaries and practical trade-offs.

• Take ownership of automated testing throughout the stack using Pytest, Vitest, and Playwright.

• Monitor, diagnose, and enhance performance, reliability, and observability of web applications and APIs.

• Drive features from initial discovery and technical design to deployment, documentation, and production support.

• Balance the use of custom and open-source software to meet product and operational requirements.

• Identify and address defects, technical debt, and architectural risks.

• Review designs and code, mentor engineers, and elevate engineering standards.

• Collaborate across teams and engage in agile planning and delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in developing production web applications.

• Strong hands-on proficiency in React/TypeScript and Python/Django.

• Proven track record of owning complex full-stack features and systems from start to finish.

• Extensive React knowledge, including hooks, component architecture, accessibility, and state management tools such as Redux or Zustand.

• In-depth Django expertise, including ORM, migrations, authentication and authorization, and Django REST Framework or similar API tools.

• Strong experience in designing and managing RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.

• Proficient in PostgreSQL and relational data modeling.

• Mastery of modern frontend tools such as Vite and NPM, along with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD pipelines.

• Strong automated testing practices utilizing Vitest or Jest, Pytest, and Playwright.

• Solid understanding of application security, API security, and secure coding practices.

• Experience in deploying and managing containerized applications in cloud environments.

• Exceptional skills in architecture, debugging, and problem-solving across the full stack.

• Demonstrated technical leadership, mentoring abilities, and capability to influence cross-functional teams.
