Senior Software Engineer – Hogan

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver intricate technical support for Hogan application development and maintenance systems.

• Improve software and processes to enhance data-processing capabilities.

• Analyze, code, test, and implement software in collaboration with management, colleagues, and end users.

• Assess and refine departmental systems, processes, and applications.

• Build modules, develop testing methodologies, and create materials based on programming specifications.

• Provide time estimates for features and aid in executing system modifications.

• Carry out test plans to confirm application functionalities.

• Gather data for user requests and assess scope, time estimates, and system impacts.

• Review business and programming specifications, coding, test plans, documentation, and implementation plans for precision.

• Support production systems by addressing reported issues, anticipating maintenance needs, and ensuring user functionality.

• Prepare technical, system, end-user, and operational documentation.

• Engage in the software development life cycle, including creation, enhancement, implementation, and evaluation activities.

• Act as a technical resource for management, colleagues, and business units.

• Offer 24/7 on-call support through rotating schedules.

• May supervise less experienced analysts or assist with special projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with 4 years of experience in software application development and maintenance, or a High School Diploma/GED with 8 years of relevant experience.

• Proficiency with Hogan (CIS, RPM, IDS, DDA, TDA, PAS, Umbrella).

• Advanced knowledge of COBOL, CICS, VSAM, DB2, Easytrieve, and JCL.

• Familiarity with ServiceNow or another IT ticketing system.

• Comprehensive understanding of System Development Life Cycle methodologies (Waterfall and Agile).

• Availability for on-call duties 24/7 on a rotating basis.

• Experience with Hogan Core Banking, Debit and Credit Cards is advantageous.

• Knowledge of the Changeman source code repository is a plus.

• Previous experience in the banking sector is favorable.

• Capability to foster strong collaborative and productive relationships.
