Senior Software Engineer – Golang

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and develop control-plane services, drivers (such as CSI), and tools that provision, configure, and manage storage for AI/compute workloads based on Kubernetes.

• Integrate advanced storage solutions like Dell PowerScale and VAST into automated, declarative provisioning processes.

• Develop data-path, telemetry, and observability tools to identify and solve performance, reliability, and scaling challenges.

• Produce production-grade software primarily in Go, ensuring strong testing, code review, and operational excellence.

• Provide infrastructure-as-code using Terraform/OpenTofu and implement GitOps-driven pipelines through ArgoCD or Flux for storage setup and management.

• Facilitate bare-metal and hybrid provisioning where storage interacts with host and cluster setup.

• Implement storage integration for k0s-based Kubernetes utilizing Cluster API (CAPI) and K0rdent management/child cluster structures.

• Design storage software for completely disconnected air-gapped environments, addressing Harbor artifact/mirror connectivity and PKI/TLS considerations.

• Communicate technical decisions across teams and take ownership of ambiguous issues from start to finish.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience with Golang in production environments.

• More than 5 years of experience in building distributed production systems at scale.

• At least 5 years of experience with Kubernetes as a developer, utilizing an Infrastructure as Code methodology.

• Understanding of Linux and Kubernetes storage fundamentals (NFS, CSI).

• Proficiency in Python is preferred.

• Experience in developing or integrating High-Performance Storage for GPU/AI workloads is preferred.

• Familiarity with high-throughput data pipelines and GPUDirect Storage is preferred.

• Demonstrated experience in sovereign or high-security air-gapped environments is preferred.
