Senior Software Engineer – Go, US Payments

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement new functionalities for the US payments gateway in Go, covering payment flows, scheme-specific behaviors, error handling, validation, operational requirements, and automated integration testing.

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and other teams to clarify requirements and validate implementation decisions.

• Participate in technical design proposals, implementation strategies, and problem-solving within the Form3 platform architecture.

• Support resilience, performance, disaster recovery, failure-mode testing, and ensure operational readiness.

• Establish and enhance monitoring, alerting, telemetry, and observability from development through to production.

• Assist in preparation for releases, conduct final validation, manage production deployment, and resolve post-launch issues.

• Create and maintain design documentation, testing records, deployment guidelines, operational procedures, and runbooks.

• Ensure that work complies with Form3 engineering standards, security requirements, and critical payments infrastructure standards.

• Profound knowledge of designing and constructing distributed systems.

• Experience in developing complex, high-performance, and robust critical software.

• Familiarity with cloud computing and containerization technologies.

• Knowledge of test automation tools and CI/CD pipelines.

• Enthusiasm for managing projects from inception to completion and assisting with production launches.

• Commitment to clean code principles and software engineering best practices.

• Proficiency in Go and a "right tool for the job" mindset.

• Excellent communication skills with a readiness to share knowledge and collaborate.

• Ability to work as a contractor from Canada (Ontario only).
