Senior Software Engineer – Go, US Payments

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement new functionality for the US payments gateway using Go, focusing on payment flows, scheme-specific behaviors, error handling, validation, operational requirements, and automated integration testing.

• Work closely with Product, Engineering, and other departments to refine requirements and confirm implementation decisions.

• Contribute to technical design proposals, implementation strategies, and problem-solving within the Form3 platform architecture.

• Aid in ensuring resilience, performance, disaster recovery, failure-mode testing, operational readiness, monitoring, alerting, telemetry, and observability.

• Assist in release preparation, final validation, production deployment, and addressing issues post-launch.

• Create and maintain technical documentation, deployment instructions, operational procedures, and runbooks.

• Ensure that work complies with Form3 engineering standards, security requirements, and essential payments infrastructure standards.

• In-depth knowledge of designing and constructing distributed systems.

• Capability to work on complex, high-performance, robust, and mission-critical software.

• Familiarity with cloud and containerization technologies.

• Experience with test automation tools and CI/CD pipelines.

• Interest in taking ownership of projects from inception to completion and supporting production launches.

• Commitment to clean code and best practices in software engineering.

• Proficiency in Go and a mindset of using the "right tool for the job."

• Excellent communication skills with a willingness to share knowledge and collaborate effectively.

• Contractors must reside in Ontario, Canada only.
