Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the modernization of the front-end for Lyric’s healthcare payment integrity platform.

• Create and develop modular, testable, and accessible React applications.

• Take ownership of the experience layer, which includes design systems, responsive layouts, WCAG accessibility, client-side performance, and error/loading states.

• Collaborate with UX on intricate customer workflows that involve dense tables, long-running operations, and permission management.

• Design and enhance RESTful, versioned .NET APIs.

• Introduce new endpoints, refactor service boundaries, tighten contracts, and transition from legacy .NET code.

• Write and optimize SQL queries, address indexing and transactional accuracy, and contribute to Kafka/event-driven data pipelines.

• Leverage AI agents for component migrations, framework upgrades, API extraction, test scaffolding, and documentation while avoiding regressions.

• Develop reusable AI-assisted engineering playbooks, migration checklists, review heuristics, and standards for completion.

• Implement security, privacy, least privilege, auditability, testing, CI guardrails, structured logging, and observability practices.

• Conduct code reviews and engage in architectural discussions.

• Collaborate with analysts, stakeholders, designers, and engineers to transform business challenges into functional software.

• Assist in creating delivery plans and navigating trade-offs with practical milestones.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in building and delivering production systems for real users.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within fast-paced teams.

• Extensive front-end experience with React/Next.js or equivalent expertise in Angular with a readiness to lead in React.

• Experience in building and maintaining complex applications involving component architecture, state management, routing, forms, accessibility, and performance optimization.

• Strong foundation in modern web platform technologies: TypeScript, HTML, CSS, browser performance, accessibility, unit/component/end-to-end testing, and build/release tools.

• Solid experience with C# and modern .NET (Core and beyond).

• Proficient in SQL, including schema design, query writing/tuning, and diagnosing database performance issues.

• Experience in API design focusing on versioning, authentication, reliability, and testing methodologies.

• Familiarity with cloud services, particularly AWS and/or Azure; AWS experience is especially relevant.

• Daily utilization of AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or similar for multi-file refactoring, migrations, test generation, and review processes.

• Preferred: substantial experience in front-end modernization.

• Preferred: in-depth knowledge of design systems or component libraries.

• Preferred: experience in modernizing legacy ASP.NET/.NET Framework applications.

• Preferred: expertise in distributed systems tools such as Kafka, event-driven architectures, or Postgres alongside SQL Server.

• Preferred: familiarity with agent-friendly engineering practices, CI guardrails, feature flags, or canary deployments.

• Preferred: a background in regulated sectors such as healthcare, fintech, or payments.
