
Senior Software Engineer, Full-Stack

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Design and implement features from start to finish across the entire stack, from specifications to production.
• Make informed decisions regarding architecture, data modeling, and API design; document trade-offs and ensure stakeholder alignment.
• Enhance code quality through thorough code reviews and testing for both front-end and back-end components.
• Provide mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and collaborative coding sessions.
• Facilitate technical design reviews, requests for comments (RFCs), and architectural discussions.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to speed up delivery while maintaining high standards for generated code.
• Engage in production support activities, including investigations, post-mortems, and systemic improvements.
• Over 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, managing complex, cross-team projects independently.
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficient in front-end engineering with a modern component framework; experience with Angular is a plus.
• Strong command of TypeScript/JavaScript and fundamental UI skills, including HTML, CSS, and accessibility best practices.
• Solid back-end engineering skills in a contemporary server-side language; familiarity with PHP and Go is advantageous.
• Expertise in relational databases, focusing on data modeling, efficient queries, and indexing strategies.
• Experience in designing and managing production APIs utilizing REST or gRPC.
• Proficient with Git, pull-request workflows, and CI/CD practices.
• Preferred: direct experience with Angular, PHP/Symfony, Go, and MySQL.
• Preferred: experience in leading production service migrations across different languages and runtimes.
• Preferred: understanding of Tera server-side templating.
• Preferred: experience with Docker and Kubernetes (GKE) at the application developer level.
• Preferred: familiarity with cloud platforms; GCP is preferred, but AWS or Azure is acceptable.
• Preferred: experience with observability tools such as New Relic, Datadog, or similar.
• Preferred: knowledge of COPPA and FERPA compliance frameworks for children's privacy.
