Senior Software Engineer, Frontend – Auth Experiences

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Serve as a full-stack engineer, contributing to backend systems, web applications, and mobile interfaces.

• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the business, product, and engineering landscape.

• Take ownership of and deliver high-availability, low-latency systems utilized by Affirm customers.

• Manage and achieve quarterly objectives for the team.

• Guide engineers through complex, ambiguous challenges and provide support throughout the delivery process.

• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics teams during the ideation and decision-making phases.

• Communicate technical limitations and assess risks and trade-offs.

• Identify and spearhead the resolution of project, process, technology, and business challenges.

• Develop and track metrics, escalate issues as needed, and assist in operational and on-call responsibilities.

• Establish or enhance code review and design standards.

• Champion quality and accountability through technical writing and presentations.

• Foster team development through constructive feedback, guidance, and leading by example.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in developing and architecting web applications using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue.

• Expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Proven experience in defining technical roadmaps for major features or system components.

• Capability to write high-quality, clear, and reusable code.

• Proficient in implementing substantial modifications in large codebases securely.

• Background in developing tools and practices to facilitate safe changes to codebases.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Either substantial practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
