Senior Software Engineer, Frontend – Auth Experiences

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Function as a full stack engineer across backend, web, and mobile platforms

• Take ownership of and achieve quarterly objectives for the team

• Guide engineers through complex and open-ended challenges

• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics teams to support product development

• Engage in brainstorming sessions while articulating technical limitations

• Collaborate on decision-making by weighing risks and trade-offs

• Identify, advocate for, and resolve issues related to projects, processes, technology, and business

• Develop and track metrics that support team artifact operations and uptime

• Raise issues and assist in maintaining ongoing operations and on-call responsibilities

• Establish or enhance code review and design standards

• Promote engineering standards through documentation and technical presentations

• Cultivate team talent through feedback, guidance, and leading by example

• Deliver high-availability and low-latency systems for Affirm’s customers

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in developing and architecting web applications

• Familiarity with declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue

• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript

• Experience in defining technical strategies for significant features or system components

• Capability to write high-quality, comprehensible, and reusable code

• Skilled at making substantial changes in large codebases safely

• Experience in developing tools and practices that facilitate safe large-scale code modifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

• Capacity to collaborate effectively with a global engineering team
