Senior Software Engineer – Frontend, Attack & User Emulation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain high-performance web applications utilizing React and TypeScript.

• Oversee the complete technical execution for frontend functionalities, incorporating real-time streaming displays via WebSockets and SSE, along with AI/MCP integrations.

• Enhance client-side performance, code reusability, testing coverage, and adherence to WCAG accessibility standards.

• Create visualizations for extensive datasets, interactive network topologies, and agentic workflows.

• Work alongside UX Designers to assess feasibility and partner with backend engineers to establish API contracts.

• Perform code reviews, advocate for frontend engineering standards, and provide mentorship to team members.

• Contribute to the essential React/TypeScript workflows and features related to streaming interfaces.

• Lead the technical delivery for significant simulation UI epics in collaboration with Product, UX, and backend teams.

• Enhance the quality, accessibility, and architectural standards of UI across shared component ecosystems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of professional experience in developing and deploying complex, scalable web applications.

• Extensive knowledge in React, TypeScript, modern state management, and optimizing web performance.

• Experience with integrating real-time data streams (WebSockets, SSE) and intricate backend/AI protocols.

• Strong grounding in UI testing methods (unit, integration, E2E) and accessibility (WCAG) standards.

• Demonstrated ability to assess technical trade-offs among UX refinement, performance, and speed of delivery.

• Experience in showcasing ML/RL decisions, confidence metrics, or agentic behaviors within user interfaces (preferred).

• Familiarity with shared design systems, Storybook, Figma workflows, and complex data visualization libraries (preferred).

• Exposure to cybersecurity concepts, Docker/Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipelines (preferred).

• Authorization to work in Costa Rica.

• Willingness to primarily work during U.S. business hours when needed.

• Comfort in participating in interviews and conducting business entirely in English.
