Senior Software Engineer – Europe

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the entire development lifecycle of features, from initial conception to deployment and operation.

• Create scalable, maintainable, and resilient full-stack systems.

• Develop user-facing interfaces along with the back-end services and APIs that support them.

• Work together with product managers, designers, and engineers to advance product development from idea to deployment.

• Lead by example, enhancing engineering practices and quality standards.

• Keep the technology stack up to date by remaining informed on industry trends and innovations.

• Enhance the reliability and stability of production products that have a significant user base.

• Guarantee continuous service availability.

• Assist in team development through resume evaluations and conducting interviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering for senior positions; strong mid-level engineers with 3+ years are also welcomed.

• Proven experience in managing and operating business-critical systems.

• Proficient full-stack engineering skills, particularly within the React ecosystem and TypeScript/NestJS services and APIs.

• Experience with deploying applications on cloud infrastructure.

• Capability to produce maintainable, thoroughly tested, production-ready architecture and code.

• Strong analytical skills, with a focus on correctness, edge cases, and failure modes.

• Experience working on brownfield projects.

• Solid database skills including schema design, query writing and optimization, migration management, and performance analysis.

• Familiarity with an ORM such as Prisma and PostgreSQL/Aurora.

• Strong technical judgment with the ability to balance technical depth and product insight.

• Clear communication skills and effective collaboration in peer reviews and cross-functional teams.

• Preferred: experience or interest in fintech sectors such as payments, card issuing, or exchanges.

• Preferred: knowledge of React Native and experience in publishing apps to app stores.

• Preferred: active engagement with AI tools.

• Preferred: experience in fast-paced teams or startups.
