Senior Software Engineer, Edge Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Design and implement backend systems for large-scale web applications using Go.

• Produce clean, modular, and reliable code that meets specified requirements.

• Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members as well as technical and product teams.

• Engage in code reviews, documentation efforts, and team process improvements.

• Enhance code quality and optimize performance metrics.

• Be part of an on-call rotation as needed.

• Travel may be required as per the role's responsibilities or as requested by the manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in enterprise software development.

• Comprehensive understanding of HTTP and associated networking protocols, such as Varnish and H2O.

• A strong interest in network security practices.

• Practical experience in developing and managing backend systems for web applications.

• Proven ability to work within a collaborative, distributed team setting.

• Proficient in Linux, automation tools, and shell scripting.

• Availability during core US business hours.

• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.

• Prior experience in building security solutions is preferred.

• Expertise in Kubernetes is preferred.

• Experience in managing hybrid cloud environments, including both data centers and public cloud, is preferred.
