Senior Software Engineer, Data Ingestion – Autonomous Vehicles

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain data ingestion pipelines sourced from various origins.

• Design and enhance data serving mechanisms for both real-time and batch processing.

• Oversee data pipelines and services to detect and resolve issues.

• Work alongside cross-functional teams to boost processing efficiency, minimize latency, and improve system performance.

• Establish validation protocols and ensure data quality checks.

• Expand data infrastructure to accommodate growing volumes of autonomous-vehicle data.

• Generate and update documentation for ingestion and serving procedures.

• Collaborate with the AV development team to comprehend data requirements and improve data-driven solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

• Over 8 years of relevant experience in autonomous vehicles and/or software infrastructure.

• In-depth expertise in developing distributed systems.

• Demonstrated experience in designing and constructing data ingestion pipelines for large-scale systems.

• Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and database management systems.

• Proficient in Go and C++, with experience in scripting languages such as Python or Matlab within a Linux environment.

• Familiarity with distributed computing frameworks like Apache Spark or Hadoop.

• Understanding of cloud-based platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and capability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
