Senior Software Engineer, Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop highly scalable features that integrate with numerous blockchains.

• Design and structure data models that are optimized for storage, retrieval, and achieving sub-second query latency for blockchain data.

• Create essential data services that analyze blockchain transaction activity at a petabyte scale.

• Collaborate with data scientists, backend engineers, product managers, and customer-facing teams.

• Convert user requirements into scalable data solutions.

• Design and implement innovative data models that enhance TRM products.

• Write clear design documentation while proactively communicating technical trade-offs.

• Foster alignment across teams and improve collaboration among various disciplines.

• Build pipelines, data platforms, or ML/BI workflows from the ground up.

• Mentor engineers or analysts and encourage knowledge sharing.

• Engage in operational excellence, testing, monitoring, and deploying to production.

• Rapidly deliver customer-centric features through iterative, high-ownership execution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field.

• Over 5 years of practical experience in architecting scalable API development and distributed system architecture.

• Proven experience leading projects from initial concept through to successful production deployment.

• Exceptional programming capabilities in Python.

• Proficiency in SQL or SparkSQL.

• Familiarity with data stores such as BigQuery and Postgres.

• Experience in building pipelines, data platforms, or ML/BI workflows from scratch.

• Proficient with Airflow and DBT.

• Expertise in Dataflow, Spark, Kafka, and Flink.

• Competence in deploying and monitoring infrastructure using Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Datadog.

• Proven ability to load, query, and transform large datasets.

• Experience in mentoring engineers or analysts.

• Capable of clearly articulating technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Cost-conscious mindset regarding performance, scalability, and efficiency.

• AI fluency; applied AI usage will be assessed during the interview process.

• Bonus: experience with LLMs or AI-driven workflows such as prompt engineering, internal tools, or semantic search.
