Senior Software Engineer, Core Infra Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of cross-functional infrastructure projects that encompass AWS, GCP, and Networking within Core Infra Systems.

• Develop and sustain self-service tools and established standards for secure cloud infrastructure provisioning and operations.

• Collaborate with Compute, Infra Security, and Routing teams to integrate security, compliance, and reliability measures.

• Promote infrastructure standardization throughout Coinbase’s multi-cloud ecosystem.

• Spearhead technical investigations and operational enhancements across infrastructure domains.

• Address systemic challenges and enhance foundational systems in collaboration with infrastructure stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• At least 3 years of experience in building and maintaining production cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or GCP, including networking, compute, or platform engineering.

• Practical knowledge of VPCs, transit gateways, DNS, load balancers, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.

• Expertise in at least one backend programming language, such as Go or Python, for platform tooling and large-scale automation.

• Capability to lead cross-team technical projects across various infrastructure areas.

• Responsible utilization of generative AI with human oversight.

• Must reside in the United States.
