Senior Software Engineer, Consumer Facing Web Products

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop, sustain, and enhance React/Next.js front-end applications that cater to millions of users each month.

• Optimize Core Web Vitals, accessibility, and technical SEO standards.

• Collaborate with product, SEO, and content teams to launch, test, and refine impactful shopping experiences.

• Design and create backend APIs and services to support dynamic, personalized content, rapid experimentation, and partner integrations.

• Engage in platform-wide performance, observability, A/B testing infrastructure, and initiatives enhancing the front-end developer experience.

• Contribute to common UI components and design systems.

• Utilize AI coding tools and specification-driven workflows in daily development tasks.

• Assist in the team’s developer harness and automation efforts.

• Take part in code reviews, mentorship, and technical discussions.

• Deliver high-performance financial shopping experiences utilized by millions of users.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of software engineering experience with significant contributions in both front-end and back-end systems.

• Extensive experience with TypeScript, React.js, and Next.js or a similar isomorphic framework (such as Astro, Gatsby, etc.).

• Strong product and UX awareness, with a sharp focus on performance, usability, and responsive design.

• Practical experience in building and consuming RESTful and GraphQL APIs.

• Experience in integrating SQL/NoSQL databases and developing full-stack features.

• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools like Cursor, Copilot, or Claude Code.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure options such as AWS, GCP, or Vercel.

• Understanding of modern DevOps practices, CI/CD, and observability.

• Excellent communication abilities and a collaborative approach.

• Preferred: experience in public-facing, high-visibility shopping marketplaces.

• Preferred: background in FinTech, financial services, or other regulated sectors.

• Preferred: hands-on experience with web vitals, lazy loading, caching strategies, or third-party analytics tools.

• Preferred: a technical blog, contributions to open-source projects, or a portfolio site displaying your work.
