Senior Software Engineer, Community Builders

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain features that enhance user interaction with our products.

• Ensure that systems maintain high performance, security, and scalability.

• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, data scientists, and engineers.

• Participate in the entire development lifecycle, including technical design, development, testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch.

• Review code and design documentation to ensure quality.

• Provide constructive feedback on product specifications and prototypes.

• Establish standards that enhance developer workflows.

• Suggest best practices to improve processes.

• Mentor and coach engineers within the team.

• Commit to the continuous improvement of both technical and non-technical skills.

• Develop and enhance Reddit products that support community builders.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field or computer science, or equivalent experience.

• Over 6 years of software development experience in one or more front-end programming languages.

• Proficient in Javascript, Typescript, and ES6.

• Familiarity with front-end web frameworks such as LIT, Polymer, React, Vue, or Angular.

• Experience with CSS.

• Knowledge of GraphQL, REST, HTTP, and basic Thrift is an advantage.

• Capability to design and implement maintainable APIs is a plus.

• Willingness to take complete ownership of projects from initial design through deployment and maintenance.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work efficiently with diverse stakeholders.

• A passion for learning and adapting to new technologies.
