Senior Software Engineer – CIAM and Fraud Solutions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop and maintain CIAM and Fraud solutions along with various projects.

• Perform research, design, technology integration, development, testing, and support across software domains.

• Create and implement scalable, secure, and reliable solutions that fulfill functionality, performance, and availability criteria.

• Lead and assist in the proactive maintenance of IaaS, SaaS, and on-premises applications.

• Diagnose and resolve application problems, encompassing code defects, data integrity issues, and configuration challenges.

• Offer technical direction and estimate the required effort.

• Assess technology alternatives and identify the best technical solutions to meet business requirements.

• Promote engineering best practices and adherence to development standards.

• Propel initiatives for continuous improvement.

• Advocate for an enhanced developer experience via design, tooling, automation, and engineering methodologies.

• Create clean, maintainable, well-documented, and secure software that aligns with architectural standards and business goals.

• Mentor peers, share expertise, and foster a collaborative team atmosphere.

• Supervise members of a distributed development team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with 4 years of experience in software application development and maintenance, or a High School Diploma/GED with 8 years of experience in the same field.

• Preferred 8+ years of experience in software application development and maintenance.

• Background in banking or regulated financial services is desirable.

• Strong design and development expertise in Java, JMS, JDBC, web development, transactions, WS-*, JVM, JSP, servlets, EJB, JNDI, JMX, JTA, Spring, JUnit, Hibernate, and Python.

• Knowledge of fraud prevention, risk-based authentication, and secure digital experiences.

• Familiarity with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SAML.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Preferred experience with Okta CIAM.

• Experience in supporting complex, business-critical applications in a production setting.

• Strong understanding of unit, integration, and system testing methodologies.

• Knowledge of peer code reviews, automated testing, security scanning, and CI/CD quality gates.

• Familiar with RestAssured, Postman, and Swagger UI.

• Experience in designing and implementing real-time and file-based integrations.

• Capability to optimize database processing and performance.

• Excellent communication skills with IT management, individual contributors, and business stakeholders.

• Ability to develop code while effectively overseeing distributed development team members.
