Senior Software Engineer, Certificates Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the design and implementation of essential cryptographic infrastructure.

• Formulate multi-quarter technical strategies for complex cryptographic requirements.

• Take ownership of ambitious projects related to secure and resilient cryptographic protocols in a high-stakes, zero-trust environment.

• Influence engineering quality practices as a technical anchor and mentor.

• Conduct thorough code reviews and eliminate single points of failure.

• Foster alignment and secure commitment from Security, Product, and Policy stakeholders.

• Create high-availability certificate management services for both internal requirements and external partners.

• Act as the primary execution anchor for crucial regulatory and cryptographic initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering focused on building highly available, distributed systems.

• Profound knowledge in Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and applied cryptography.

• Experience in operating certificate authorities.

• Familiarity with automating X.509 certificate lifecycles, including issuance, renewal, revocation, and trust-chain distribution.

• Experience in safeguarding private key material using HSMs or cloud KMS.

• Extensive programming background in Golang, Java, C++, or Rust, with proficiency in a Golang-centered environment.

• Experience managing Tier-0 or highly critical infrastructure that demands resilience, security, and low latency.

• Proven track record in leading technical strategy, architecture, and deliverables for large-scale projects.

• Ability to navigate complex regulatory requirements and translate them into engineering solutions.

• Responsible use of generative AI under human oversight.
