Senior Software Engineer, Card Solutions – Backend-Focused, Partner Integration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Create and develop backend services for processing card transactions, detecting fraud, and managing card programs.

• Engage in system architecture and technical decision-making with an emphasis on performance, fault tolerance, and maintainability.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (Product, Risk, Finance, Compliance) to produce resilient, compliant financial systems.

• Write clean, observable, and thoroughly tested code within a service-oriented architecture.

• Take part in code reviews, incident response, and continuous reliability enhancements.

• Assist in evolving our engineering practices, tools, and system designs as we grow.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in software engineering, preferably in fintech, infrastructure, or platform teams.

• Proficiency in building backend systems using a typed programming language (e.g., TypeScript, Java, Go, etc.).

• Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts: asynchronous processing, retries, observability, and eventual consistency.

• Excellent judgment in balancing correctness, performance, and maintainability.

• Capable of collaborating within cross-functional teams and effectively communicating technical trade-offs.

• Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic product environment.
