📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain a robust browser extension for Chrome, Edge, and other major browsers utilizing Manifest V3 and modern APIs.

• Implement features that securely engage with web content and backend services.

• Ensure adherence to security best practices.

• Optimize performance and reliability across various environments and user workflows.

• Collaborate with endpoint agent and backend teams to achieve tight integration and consistent functionality.

• Monitor changes in browser APIs, security standards, and the extension ecosystem.

• Participate in code reviews, testing, and ongoing enhancement of development processes.

• Contribute to the development and enhancement of Cyberhaven’s browser extension as part of its data security platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant software engineering experience, including coding, testing, debugging, and automating complex TypeScript/JavaScript applications.

• Proficient in inspecting third-party web applications, network traffic, DOM structure, and client-side code.

• Quick to learn new technologies, particularly evolving browser extension platforms and manifest specifications.

• Emphasis on accuracy, performance, and reliability of background processes.

• Strong communication skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.

• Effective coordination with developers working on non-browser platforms.

• Hands-on experience with browser extensions is advantageous; preference for Chrome/Chromium Manifest V3, with Firefox/Edge experience considered a plus.

• Knowledge of browser extension security models, including permissions, content security policy, isolated worlds, and secure communication between contexts.

• Experience with cybersecurity products or features, such as DLP, DSPM, or similar security/compliance tools, is a plus.
