This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Establish data and measurement frameworks that link consumer acquisition activities across paid media, SEO/AEO, and growth channels to signup, conversion, and GMV outcomes.
β’ Construct dependable pipelines, identity and event data systems, attribution and conversion measurement, along with integrations throughout marketing and data ecosystems.
β’ Take ownership of and achieve quarterly team objectives.
β’ Guide engineers through unclear and open-ended challenges while supporting project delivery.
β’ Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics teams on ideation, technical limitations, risks, and trade-offs.
β’ Recognize and lead the resolution of project, process, technology, and business challenges.
β’ Create and track operational metrics, escalate issues, and assist with on-call responsibilities.
β’ Establish and enhance code review and design standards; advocate through documentation and technical presentations.
β’ Foster team development through constructive feedback, guidance, and by setting a positive example.
β’ Partner with Engineering, Product, Marketing, Analytics, and Data Engineering to integrate consent, tagging, identity, and consumer-data requirements into the measurement architecture.
β’ Minimum of 4 years of experience in designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale.
β’ Proficient in using Python or Kotlin.
β’ Proven experience in developing highly available distributed systems.
β’ Familiarity with AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
β’ Practical experience in creating marketing data and measurement systems.
β’ Knowledge of Google Tag Manager (GTM/sGTM), GA4, advertising and conversion APIs, customer data platforms, attribution or mobile measurement platforms, and consent management platforms.
β’ Experience in building production data pipelines and analytical models using Snowflake, dbt, and Airflow.
β’ Proficient in working with event-level data, identity resolution, attribution, or conversion measurement.
β’ Ability to define technical plans for significant features or system components.
β’ Capable of writing high-quality, understandable, and extensible code.
β’ Skilled in making substantial changes to a large codebase safely.
β’ Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
β’ Must be a resident of Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, or Saskatchewan.
