Senior Backend Engineer – Mobility

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +6 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design and develop advanced event-driven microservices that drive M-KOPA Mobility's e-mobility financing platform.

• Take ownership of solutions from the architecture phase to production monitoring.

• Create C#/.NET backend systems to facilitate clean and affordable transportation.

• Utilize Azure cloud infrastructure and various messaging technologies.

• Implement and manage infrastructure based on Kubernetes and Docker.

• Incorporate observability and monitoring through tools like Prometheus and Grafana.

• Conduct automated testing across all environments, including production.

• Champion infrastructure as code, DevOps methodologies, and continuous delivery practices.

• Collaborate with engineering teams located in the UK, Europe, and Africa.

• Contribute to the advancement of financial and digital inclusion through innovative technology.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient understanding of C# .NET development.

• Experience with event-driven architectures, including Service Bus or comparable messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ.

• Familiarity with microservices architecture.

• Experience with Azure or other leading cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.

• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, including Kubernetes and Docker.

• Experience using observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana.

• Expertise in testing and deployment processes.

• A mindset aligned with DevOps culture.

• Experience with AI coding tools, preferably Claude Code or similar.

• Comfortable managing the complete software stack, including supporting infrastructure, throughout the software lifecycle.

• Open to working within frameworks of continuous delivery, testing, observability, infrastructure-as-code, and DevOps practices.
