Senior Software Engineer – Backend, Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create backend software utilizing Java and Spring Boot.

• Build web applications leveraging JavaScript, Angular, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and jQuery.

• Architect and develop applications following microservices and distributed architecture principles.

• Develop and consume REST APIs while implementing SOAP integrations.

• Facilitate messaging and asynchronous communication through Kafka and Pub/Sub architectures.

• Execute data persistence strategies using JPA and Oracle.

• Model data effectively and enhance SQL query performance.

• Employ Maven for build processes and dependency management.

• Oversee code versioning with Git and Bitbucket.

• Utilize SonarQube for code analysis and ensuring software quality.

• Implement Clean Code practices, SOLID principles, and Design Patterns.

• Create scalable, resilient, and high-performance software solutions.

• Collaborate in agile and cooperative work environments.

• Engage with event-driven architecture, containerization, CI/CD, cloud computing, and observability as key differentiators.

⛳️ Requirements

• Familiarity with OpenShift and GKE.

• Understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD).

• Proficiency in Oracle databases, including procedures, packages, and PL/SQL programming.

• Strong background in software development with Java and Spring Boot.

• Experience in crafting web applications using JavaScript, Angular, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and jQuery.

• Knowledge of microservices architecture and the development of distributed applications.

• Proven experience in developing and consuming REST APIs and implementing SOAP integrations.

• Expertise in messaging and asynchronous communication practices utilizing Kafka and Pub/Sub architectures.

• Experience with data persistence techniques using JPA and Oracle databases.

• Skills in data modeling and optimizing SQL queries.

• Familiarity with build and dependency management tools like Maven.

• Proficiency in code version control systems such as Git and Bitbucket.

• Knowledge of code analysis and software quality assurance tools like SonarQube.

• Adherence to software development best practices, including Clean Code, SOLID principles, and Design Patterns.

• Capability to develop scalable, resilient, and high-performance solutions.
