Senior Backend Engineer – LATAM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico, +6 more countries.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain the Django backend that supports both the consumer dashboard and the B2B platform.

• Create API functionalities for the consumer dashboard as well as customer reporting systems.

• Enhance the performance and reliability of Celery and RabbitMQ workflows.

• Integrate external services such as Stripe and WorkOS SSO.

• Conduct code reviews and engage in evaluations from fellow senior backend engineers.

• Take ownership of features from start to finish, ensuring reliability post-production.

• Collaborate directly with the founders on product and technical strategy.

• Engage in real production tasks within the first week.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in developing production web applications.

• A minimum of 3 years working with Python and Django.

• Proficient understanding of data structures, concurrency, SQL, and system architecture.

• Excellent written communication skills.

• Ability to work asynchronously across various time zones.

• Self-motivated with a strong sense of follow-through.

• Familiarity with AI coding assistants like Claude Code is advantageous.

• Must be based in Latin America.

• Working hours should ideally overlap with US Eastern, Central, Mountain, or Pacific time zones.
