Senior Software Engineer, Backend – Card Ledger, Money Movement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and achieve quarterly objectives for the team.

• Guide engineers through uncertainty to address open-ended challenges.

• Provide support to team members throughout the delivery process.

• Work collaboratively with product management, design, and analytics during the product development phase.

• Engage in brainstorming sessions and clearly communicate technical limitations.

• Collaborate on decisions by weighing risks and trade-offs.

• Identify and address issues related to projects, processes, technology, and business operations.

• Develop and track metrics for team deliverables.

• Raise concerns and assist with on-call and operational responsibilities.

• Establish and enhance code review and design standards.

• Promote quality and accountability through writing and technical presentations.

• Foster team talent by providing constructive feedback, guidance, and leading by example.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in designing, developing, and launching scalable backend systems.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Kotlin.

• Proven experience in developing highly available distributed systems.

• Familiarity with AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.

• Capability to outline technical plans for major features or system components.

• Ability to produce high-quality, understandable, and reusable code.

• Expertise in safely making significant alterations in large codebases.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Either equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
