Freelance Engineer – Python, Ruby, Data & AI Agents

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain backend services using Python and RESTful APIs.

• Contribute to Ruby projects, particularly those utilizing Ruby on Rails.

• Develop and enhance AI agents and MCP tools tailored for advertising-data applications.

• Integrate data processing, SQL queries, analytical techniques, and statistical reasoning into production functionalities.

• Engage in revenue analysis, anomaly detection, and elucidation of revenue fluctuations.

• Create dependable workflows where numerical computations are deterministic and AI models manage language tasks.

• Collaborate with data platforms and cloud services like Snowflake and AWS.

• Propel features from initial design through to production deployment.

• Participate in testing, code evaluations, CI/CD, documentation, and uphold sound engineering principles.

• Work closely with Tech, Product, Data Engineering, and Data Science teams.

• Partake in a potential technical assessment and interview with the Tech team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience with Python in a production setting.

• Professional background or significant familiarity with Ruby.

• Experience in data analysis or data science fields.

• Proficient SQL skills with a track record of working with analytical data.

• Background in developing backend applications or RESTful APIs.

• Familiarity with Git, testing methodologies, code reviews, and contemporary software development practices.

• Capacity to work autonomously and deliver production-ready features.

• Excellent communication skills paired with a practical approach to problem-solving.

• Proficient in English, both written and spoken, with confidence in technical discussions and documentation.

• French language proficiency is advantageous, but not essential.

• Commitment to full-time availability, roughly 40 hours per week.

• Willingness to work Monday to Friday from 9:30 to 18:30 Paris time.

• Reside within two hours of Paris time throughout the year.

• Experience with MCP, LLM agents, Snowflake, or AWS Bedrock is preferred, but not required.
