Senior Software Engineer, Backend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain high-performance backend services and APIs utilizing Golang.

• Create scalable and fault-tolerant distributed systems for processing and streaming substantial data volumes with Kafka.

• Collaborate with product management, frontend engineers, and data engineers to establish and implement backend solutions that fulfill business requirements.

• Enhance system performance and reliability through ongoing monitoring, profiling, and optimization.

• Promote software development best practices, conduct code reviews, and maintain documentation.

• Guide junior engineers and contribute to the development of the engineering team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of professional experience in backend software development.

• Strong expertise in Go and a comprehensive understanding of its internals.

• Practical experience with Kafka, including the design and deployment of Kafka clusters, implementation of producers and consumers, and management of topics and partitions.

• Proven experience in building and optimizing large-scale distributed systems, preferably in a cloud-based environment like AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and concurrency.

• Experience with Apache Arrow, Parquet, and other similar data formats for high-performance analytics.

• Proficiency in Python, Java, or TypeScript.

• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture.

• Knowledge of Apache Flink or Apache Spark Streaming.

• Understanding of highly concurrent distributed system concepts.
