Senior Software Engineer – Autonomy Build & Integration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop, maintain, enhance, and advance CI/CD processes for both new and existing services.

• Take ownership of comprehensive technical projects, designs, and solutions that emphasize quality, scalability, real-time processing, and availability.

• Lead intricate projects that span multiple teams and involve collaboration with partners and customers.

• Engage in planning, code reviews, and design discussions.

• Contribute to significant projects outlined in the team roadmap.

• Promote software engineering best practices and create tools that facilitate them.

• Mentor and elevate the skills of fellow engineers.

• Conduct technical interviews and assist in recruitment efforts.

• Foster a positive team culture.

• Travel as necessary.

• Establish and manage foundations for application and system-on-chip image builds, CI pipelines, artifact and image management, validation benches, and release promotion workflows for ADAS features, particularly Super Cruise.

⛳️ Requirements

• More than 3 years of experience in leading and executing large-scale, cross-team initiatives.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Proficient in developing workflows and managing CI/CD platforms such as Buildkite, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions.

• Familiarity with developer tools and technologies such as Python and Docker.

• Experience with build systems like Bazel or CMake, as well as compilers such as Clang, GCC, and NVCC.

• Proven experience in leading projects across various teams.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to enhancing processes and systems.

• Comprehensive understanding of the business and operational implications of technology trade-offs.

• Enthusiasm for self-driving technology.

• Must not require GM immigration sponsorship now or in the future.

• Preferred: Over 5 years of experience in designing, building, and operating production systems at scale in the cloud.

• Preferred: In-depth knowledge of automotive vehicle systems, including ADAS, Motion Control, Automotive Networks, and Powertrain.

• Preferred: Experience with Ethernet/CAN/LIN, SAFe and Agile methodologies, globally distributed teams, QNX OS, QCC, Adaptive AUTOSAR, CppUTest, GoogleTest, and Jenkins plugins.
