Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Develop and maintain Quality Assurance Tools that facilitate customer journey automation across global eCommerce platforms.

• Enhance automation processes related to search, browsing, checkout, payment, fulfillment, and post-purchase experiences.

• Create applications for web and native mobile environments utilizing Agentic Testing, Next.js, Playwright, and Appium.

• Incorporate testing tools into CI/CD pipelines to provide quality signals for pull requests and release candidates.

• Construct reusable AI Native React components utilizing modular CSS techniques.

• Manage client state effectively with Redux and React Query.

• Interface with REST and gRPC services.

• Identify and address performance issues using tools such as Chrome DevTools, Lighthouse, WebPageTest, or custom solutions.

• Oversee web vitals and implement A/B test instrumentation.

• Refactor and enhance existing codebases.

• Collaborate with product management, design, and UX teams to achieve project objectives.

• Develop tools, processes, and documentation aimed at enhancing code quality.

• Conduct code reviews across the team and with other teams.

• Contribute to the Node.js-based developer platform.

• Deliver software to a vast user base daily, maintaining autonomy over code and feature ownership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related field, along with 3 years of experience in software engineering or a related area; OR 5 years of experience in software engineering or a related field.

• Previous experience in building AI Native applications, including RAG and vector-based databases at scale.

• Proficient in object-oriented programming and documentation-driven coding practices.

• Experience in delivering scoped features through iterative development and teamwork in engineering.

• Strong skills in debugging, code reviews, and CI/CD methodologies.

• Capability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions.

• Experience with integrating AI/ML components and utilizing generative AI tools.

• Ability to convert complex business challenges into actionable technical specifications with measurable results.

• Demonstrated technical judgment, adaptability, and dedication to engineering excellence.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills across multiple functions.

• Preferred: Master’s degree in a relevant field of computer science or software engineering and 1 year of experience.

• Preferred: Familiarity with WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and best practices in digital accessibility.
