Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Design and develop scalable backend systems, APIs, and data pipelines.

• Take ownership of services from start to finish, encompassing architecture, development, deployment, and operations.

• Lead discussions on technical design and contribute to decisions regarding system architecture.

• Produce high-quality, maintainable code while promoting engineering best practices.

• Troubleshoot complex production issues and implement sustainable, scalable solutions.

• Enhance system performance, reliability, and observability throughout the platform.

• Collaborate closely with Product, Data, and other Engineering teams to deliver impactful features.

• Mentor junior engineers and foster a strong engineering culture.

• Engage in incident response and participate in on-call rotations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in building and scaling backend systems as a software engineer.

• Proficient programming skills in one or more languages (such as Python, Go, Java, etc.).

• Experience in cybersecurity, vulnerability management, or threat intelligence.

• Background in designing distributed systems and working within microservices architectures.

• In-depth knowledge of APIs, system design, and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).

• Experience with data pipelines, ETL systems, or high-volume data processing.

• Demonstrated ability to debug and optimize production systems.

• Strong sense of ownership with the capability to lead projects autonomously.

• Excellent communication skills and aptitude for cross-functional collaboration.

• Familiarity with CVE, NVD, KEV, or exploit intelligence datasets.

• Experience with streaming systems or real-time data processing.

• Background in high-growth or startup environments.
