Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assess product and technical requirements; deliver precise effort estimates, recognize risks, and suggest implementation strategies.

• Create, implement, test, and maintain product functionalities that are scalable, secure, and high-performing.

• Collaborate with Product Management to evaluate designs, showcase prototypes, and refine solutions while balancing customer value, technical excellence, and delivery schedules.

• Take ownership of features or services throughout the entire lifecycle, from design to deployment, monitoring, and support.

• Spot opportunities for enhancements in architecture, tools, and development methodologies.

• Conduct code and design evaluations and offer constructive feedback to enhance code quality, maintainability, and uniformity.

• Ensure that software complies with set quality standards through testing, design reviews, and adherence to best practices.

• Engage in a virtual immersive experience to understand Unanet’s product, team, and technology stack.

• Join a Scrum Team to familiarize yourself with the current product offerings and roadmap commitments.

• Assist the team in addressing technical infrastructure backlog tasks.

• Execute the product roadmap and collaborate with Team and Tech Leads to enhance the team and technology stack.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of full stack Java experience (Java 8 or higher) in intricate enterprise software.

• More than 4 years of experience with contemporary front-end frameworks, preferably React.

• Proficient in MVC, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.

• Experience in designing, implementing, and utilizing RESTful APIs and event-driven integrations.

• A strong problem-solving attitude with a passion for tackling complex, ambiguous challenges.

• Proficient in data modeling and database design, with solid SQL skills.

• Proven experience in leading and participating in incident responses, root-cause analyses, and postmortems.

• Prior experience with Git, Tomcat, modern CI/CD pipelines, Docker containers, and Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with the responsible use of AI coding assistants to enhance development speed and quality.

• Experience in creating AI agents and skills.

• Knowledge of GoLang.

• Excellent communication abilities with a knack for collaborative and remote work.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
