Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Automate repetitive tasks.

• Enhance the software development lifecycle.

• Refine deployment processes to facilitate quicker and more dependable software releases.

• Examine engineering processes and workflows to pinpoint bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.

• Work alongside engineering teams leveraging guild insights to design and execute process enhancements.

• Improve the code review procedures.

• Apply continuous integration and delivery best practices.

• Contribute to Teachable, a no-code platform that assists creators in building businesses through courses, coaching, downloadable content, and communities.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4+ years of practical experience in building and maintaining production web applications.

• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and Terraform.

• Expertise in writing software utilized in a production setting.

• Experience working on a platform comprising multiple services.

• Willingness and enthusiasm to broaden skillset and tackle challenging tasks.

• Strong collaborative skills with a focus on documentation.

• Ability to manage asynchronous communications alongside virtual meetings.

• Enthusiasm for resolving complex technical issues in both new and legacy codebases.

• Commitment to improving the codebase beyond its initial state.

• Experience collaborating with colleagues of varying expertise levels to design and implement technical projects.

• Capability to work independently and solve problems effectively.

• A humble, collaborative, customer-centric, and inquisitive approach to problem-solving.

• Nice to have: Experience in DevOps or SRE roles.

• Nice to have: Proficiency in Golang and Ruby in a production environment.

• Nice to have: Experience on an engineering enablement or platform team or contributing to organization-wide engineering initiatives.
