Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Collaborate within a team of developers to create core services for the Swiftly platform.

• Construct and maintain services that facilitate loyalty features, including rebates, loyalty programs, coupons, flyers, advertisements, user portal, identity management, and search functionalities.

• Design and sustain backend services utilizing Kotlin and Quarkus.

• Assume responsibility for the entire domain, from making architectural decisions to coding, testing, and operational management.

• Utilize IntelliJ and Gradle for building and managing project code.

• Engage in CI/CD processes using GitHub Workflows.

• Collaborate with mobile, web, and SDK engineering teams through clearly defined service interfaces.

• Partner with Product Managers to ascertain requirements and with UI developers to finalize API endpoints.

• Manage production services, which includes on-call duties and incident resolution.

• Analyze logs and troubleshoot services to rectify issues.

• Design and code new features while maintaining existing services related to loyalty, rebates, coupons, identity, advertisements, e-commerce, and flyers.

• Perform additional related tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent industry experience.

• Over 5 years of professional experience in designing, building, and maintaining backend services.

• Proficiency in coding with Kotlin or Java.

• Familiarity with modern backend frameworks such as Quarkus, Micronaut, SpringBoot, or equivalent.

• Strong SQL capabilities, particularly with PostgreSQL.

• Experience in building and operating services on Azure or similar cloud platforms.

• Preference for candidates with specific experience in Quarkus.

• Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB is preferred.

• Experience with Kubernetes is preferred.

• Knowledge of CI/CD processes utilizing GitHub Workflows is preferred.

• Understanding of security protocols such as OAuth and Firebase is preferred.

• Experience in startups and comfort in working with small remote teams is preferred.
