Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage intricate projects from inception to launch, encompassing technical design.

• Collaborate closely with product and design teams to ensure alignment.

• Develop scalable, efficient, and adaptable platforms for both customer and internal data.

• Guarantee that users receive information that is both timely and accurate.

• Produce documentation for design and development purposes.

• Advance the architecture to enhance operational efficiency and facilitate business growth.

• Proactively identify and resolve potential issues.

• Review the work of others and offer constructive feedback.

• Mentor junior team members through pairing, code reviews, and design evaluations.

• Establish technical standards through both code and design assessments.

• Contribute to the engineering culture at Stellar and enhance the quality of production code.

• Design and maintain data pipeline architecture for ingestion, consumption, and export.

• Collaborate with leaders and stakeholders to identify system and end-to-end process bottlenecks.

• Enhance service level objectives (SLOs), improve data quality, and minimize manual tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of comprehensive professional engineering experience.

• Recent hands-on experience in writing production-level back-end code using Python, Java, C++, or Go, with a preference for Python.

• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks like React, Angular, or VueJS.

• Proven history of managing complex medium to large projects from technical design to launch.

• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, with AWS being preferred.

• Proficient in relational databases, including PostgreSQL or MySQL.

• Experience in drafting technical design documentation and articulating technical decisions.

• Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers through code reviews, pairing, and design evaluations.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience utilizing AI tools to enhance and expedite the coding process.

• Familiarity with data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks and dbt is a plus.
