Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Create software using Java, JavaScript, and various scripting languages.

• Design data models and web APIs.

• Generate software tasks based on system requirements.

• Conduct requirements analysis, design, development, unit testing, and integration testing.

• Identify and resolve issues in systems and web applications.

• Improve and maintain the current system.

• Design, develop, and document new functionalities.

• Utilize Atlassian tools for daily tasks within the Scrum framework.

• Implement web services, data persistence access features, and external interfaces.

• Adhere to Agile software development methodology and team architecture standards.

• Construct and modify CI/CD pipelines within the AWS Cloud environment.

• Execute deployments and maintenance as requirements evolve.

• Convert Confluence product requirements into structured Jira user stories.

• Deliver Java microservices hosted on AWS infrastructure.

• Troubleshoot server and production issues on hosts and apply cybersecurity solutions.

• Mentor junior software engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in software development.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance eligibility.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.

• Capability to secure and maintain a Secret security clearance.

• More than 2 years of experience with AWS Cloud.

• Professional experience with the Java Spring Framework (Boot, Batch, Data, Security).

• Software development experience in Java, JavaScript, React, jQuery, HTML, CSS, and other object-oriented programming languages.

• Familiarity with architecture and CI/CD environments, including Docker, Ansible, and Jenkins.

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and Perl in Linux environments.

• AWS Cloud experience with the ability to deliver a system end to end.

• Knowledge of version control systems like Git and/or Bitbucket.

• Experience in developing and integrating complex software systems throughout the full SDLC.

• Proficient in using Confluence and Jira in an AWS cloud setting.

• Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies.

• Skilled in designing, developing, enhancing, troubleshooting, and debugging web applications.

• Experience in developing and maintaining secure RESTful APIs within a microservices architecture.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Active Secret security clearance is preferred.

• Experience in mobile development for iOS and Android is a plus.
