Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and launch product enhancements for the 1035YellowPages platform using VB.NET/C#/.NET.

• Create database objects, ASP.NET Web Forms, and WCF web services.

• Troubleshoot, analyze, and fix full-stack defects and performance challenges.

• Construct and sustain technical integrations to facilitate data flow between CT and its clients.

• Oversee the onboarding process for new clients.

• Act as the primary technical liaison for current website and web service clients, including handling support escalations.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to enhance delivery speed without compromising quality.

• Mentor junior team members and manage their training and development plans.

• Document knowledge transfer from the outgoing technical team.

• Report directly to CT's executive leadership team.

• Independently deliver enhancements or defect resolutions while gaining a comprehensive understanding of the 1035YellowPages codebase and data model.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional software development experience.

• Extensive experience as the lead or sole engineer responsible for a production system.

• Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Framework / .NET, VB.NET, JavaScript, and SQL.

• Experience with Windows Forms (WinForms), ASP.NET Web Forms, WCF Web Services, and Windows Services.

• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, database technologies, Microsoft SQL Server, and T-SQL.

• Capability to engage directly with enterprise clients on technical challenges, integration tasks, and support escalations.

• Proven history of shipping and supporting production software in a small-team setting with end-to-end ownership.

• Comfort in navigating established codebases that contain legacy components, including sole ownership of systems not originally developed by you.

• Ability to produce over 30% of code output using AI-assisted development tools effectively.

• Preferred: experience with Azure DevOps, REST APIs, or ASP.NET MVC.

• Preferred: familiarity with legacy migration projects, particularly managing a system throughout its end-of-life.

• Preferred: previous experience with FogBugz or similar issue-tracking tools.
