Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Deliver high-quality, dependable, and scalable software solutions.

• Collaborate with IT management, development teams, technical delivery teams, and vendors to design, develop, and implement technology solutions.

• Engage in the full software development life cycle.

• Design and develop software applications utilizing .NET, ASP.NET, and ASP.NET Core technologies.

• Maintain and enhance existing codebases and conduct code reviews.

• Design and manage MS SQL/Azure SQL database objects.

• Coordinate with colleagues to execute technical designs.

• Collaborate with Product Owners and business stakeholders to comprehend requirements, identify functional-design gaps, and propose enhancements.

• Deliver functional solutions that meet or surpass acceptance criteria.

• Identify non-functional requirements.

• Estimate development timelines for projects, modules, and defect resolutions.

• Provide regular and precise updates on task statuses.

• Participate in software builds, release management, and environment administration.

• Identify system issues and patterns, develop standard operating procedures, and enhance system quality.

• Research and resolve critical production challenges.

• Create technical design specifications and documentation.

• Demonstrate solutions during iteration and system demonstrations.

• Provide written materials for knowledge transfer.

• Monitor emerging technologies and development standards, recommending enhancements to the software development lifecycle.

• Investigate and implement pertinent new technologies.

• Execute unit and integration test plans and support quality assurance initiatives.

• Develop high-performing, scalable, and reliable code.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in C#.

• Experience with .NET, ASP.NET, and ASP.NET Core frameworks.

• Familiarity with Azure cloud PaaS technologies.

• Proficiency in SQL, MS SQL, and/or Azure SQL.

• Strong understanding of client-side technologies, including JavaScript frameworks such as Angular.

• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git version control, work item management, CI/CD, and monitoring tools.

• Experience throughout the entire software development life cycle (SDLC).

• Familiarity with Agile/SAFe and Waterfall methodologies.

• Ability to design and maintain database objects such as tables, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.

• Capability to prepare and execute unit and integration test plans.

• Ability to write code following industry best practices, focusing on performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Skill in creating technical design specifications and documentation.

• Ability to research and resolve critical production issues.

• Proficiency in making accurate development time estimates and providing status updates.

• Ability to engage in software builds, release management, environment management, and quality assurance activities.
