Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of key segments in the sale-to-production lifecycle, from technical design to shipping and iteration.

• Design and develop full-stack features utilizing a C#/.NET backend and React/TypeScript frontend.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to transform contractor requirements into delivered software.

• Make technical decisions within your area of responsibility while cooperating on cross-functional or architecturally critical choices.

• Produce clean, well-tested, and maintainable code.

• Engage in code reviews.

• Troubleshoot and resolve intricate issues throughout the stack, including performance and reliability challenges in distributed systems.

• Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to the evolution of product architecture.

• Communicate updates, tradeoffs, and risks to engineers, product managers, and stakeholders.

• Develop ServiceTitan's Exteriors vertical product, which encompasses workflows related to roofing, siding, windows, and gutters.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 8 years of professional software engineering experience, including the development of production systems utilized by real customers.

• Strong full-stack development skills with practical experience in C#/.NET and React/TypeScript, or equivalent strongly typed backend and modern frontend frameworks.

• Comprehensive understanding of SQL databases, including Microsoft SQL Server or equivalent, along with efficient and reliable data model design.

• Familiarity with distributed systems and microservices architecture.

• Expertise in Git, unit testing, debugging, and performance profiling.

• Excellent communication and technical writing abilities.

• Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.

• A genuine interest in understanding contractor sales and production workflows.

• A B.S., M.S., or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
