Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop innovative features that facilitate millions of daily interactions on Replicant’s primary AI voice and chat products.

• Deliver comprehensive end-to-end features that have a significant impact.

• Incorporate enhancements in automatic speech recognition, text-to-speech, and conversational AI models into our products.

• Refactor, optimize, and troubleshoot production systems while ensuring a balance between latency, cost, and user experience.

• Engage in regular on-call rotations and oversee live production systems.

• Continuously enhance systems based on performance metrics and user feedback.

• Contribute to knowledge sharing and mentorship related to distributed systems, high-availability design, and enterprise-scale AI user experiences.

• Participate in team and company-wide events; travel as necessary.

• Work in collaboration with product and machine learning teams to empower customers in creating AI-driven conversations.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in full-stack software engineering, preferably in SaaS, AI, or intricate real-time systems.

• Proven track record of owning and delivering elegant, maintainable solutions that scale to millions of users.

• Experience in elevating engineering standards within teams.

• Strong collaboration and communication abilities.

• Expert in AI tools for coding, improving, debugging, and refactoring extensive codebases.

• Experience in designing and executing automated, manual, and AI testing.

• Proficient in TypeScript and frontend frameworks such as React or similar.

• Proficient in Node.js for production-level backend systems.

• Proficient in Python.

• Familiarity with Rust, LLM prompt engineering, Google Cloud Services, or Kubernetes.

• Knowledge of relational databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure and CI/CD pipelines.

• Understanding of metrics, logging, and monitoring.

• Passion for AI, machine learning, and telephony.

• Willingness to attend occasional in-person company events.

• Authorization to work in the United States or Canada.
