Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee architectural design while ensuring technical coherence.

• Create, develop, and sustain generative AI services and reusable components predominantly using Python and some Java.

• Establish and advocate for engineering best practices, which include scalability, observability, testing, and CI/CD.

• Contribute to system designs that encompass multiple services and modules.

• Work collaboratively with product, platform, and research teams to transform AI prototypes into production-ready solutions.

• Deploy scalable, containerized applications within a Kubernetes (EKS) environment.

• Lead the resolution of intricate technical challenges across distributed systems.

• Guide junior developers on engineering principles, GenAI patterns, and platform development.

• Engage in code reviews, architecture discussions, and cross-team projects.

• Keep abreast of advancements in generative AI and promote responsible integration into product ecosystems.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience in software engineering.

• Demonstrated experience in contributing to technical architecture for large-scale platforms or services.

• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and data modeling principles.

• Extensive knowledge of Python and Java.

• Proficient in backend development.

• Familiar with contemporary AI/LLM tools and frameworks, such as LangChain and LangGraph.

• Experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and cloud-native architectures.

• Proven history of building scalable backend systems and APIs.

• Experience mentoring engineers and participating in architectural decision-making.

• Capability to collaborate effectively across functions in an Agile or Kanban setting.

• Experience in operationalizing LLMs or developing internal AI platforms is a plus.

• Familiarity with observability practices is a plus.

• Exposure to knowledge graphs or semantic search systems is a plus.
