Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Engage within a multiproduct ecosystem that includes integrations, legacy systems, and vital workflows that enhance the customer experience.

• Spearhead comprehensive backend solutions from start to finish.

• Support technical decision-making by balancing aspects of security, consistency, scalability, and production operations.

• Design and refine backend solutions to meet both business and user requirements.

• Transform ambiguously defined issues into actionable deliverables in collaboration with engineering, product, and design teams.

• Suggest and execute enhancements to improve account and user management on the RD Station platform.

• Engage in code reviews and apply engineering best practices along with agile methodologies.

• Contribute to projects focused on scalability and innovation.

• Work closely with technical leaders, product managers, designers, and fellow developers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in identity, authentication, or authorization.

• In-depth knowledge of Ruby on Rails and backend development.

• Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, and event-driven architecture.

• Familiarity with transactional databases, whether SQL or NoSQL.

• Experience using observability tools like Datadog.

• Hands-on experience with engineering best practices, encompassing SOLID principles, design patterns, and code reviews.

• Experience in migrating and upgrading legacy systems.

• Practical application of AI in development, demonstrating sound judgment and technical accountability.

• A sense of ownership and accountability for deliverables, with the ability to work autonomously while aligning in an agile setting and collaborating effectively within a team.

• Nice to have: experience in platform, support, or intricate system migration teams.

• Nice to have: experience with platforms utilized by multiple products.

• Nice to have: familiarity with messaging technologies such as Kafka, Pub/Sub, or similar tools.

• Nice to have: knowledge of programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Node.js, Go, Java, or frontend development.
