Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, efficient, and reusable software solutions.

• Engineer backend APIs, Graph, and AI-driven products, incorporating both agentic and generative AI functionalities.

• Assume responsibility for assigned tasks and provide technical guidance.

• Offer strategic direction for software development projects and teams.

• Collaborate with cloud architects and leads to define backend service and API requirements.

• Contribute to the product roadmap and design as well as test proof-of-concept solutions.

• Create functional and technical specification documents, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders.

• Engage in code reviews and brainstorming sessions.

• Mentor junior developers and advocate for software development best practices.

• Research and suggest enhancements to improve processes and systems.

• Participate in recruitment efforts and assist in building a high-performing regional team.

• Design, build, and operationalize large-scale data solutions utilizing REST APIs, Graph, AI, and ML applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in hands-on software development.

• Extensive experience in Java software development.

• Proficient in Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem, including Spring AI.

• Practical experience in developing cloud-native applications utilizing AWS S3, SQS, Kinesis, Graph DB, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, or equivalent GCP services.

• Proven track record of leading software development features from conception to deployment while mentoring junior developers.

• Skilled in designing, developing, and deploying RESTful APIs and services.

• Experience in stream data processing and coding for low-latency applications.

• Familiarity with GenAI, agentic AI, and machine learning frameworks.

• Proficient in writing comprehensive unit and integration tests and adept in TDD methodologies.

• Knowledge of the software development life cycle, from requirements gathering to deployment.

• Ability to articulate ideas clearly during requirements and design sessions and lead teams on designated initiatives.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and synthesizing skills.

• Practical experience with frameworks such as Spring AI, LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or similar AI application frameworks is a plus.

• Familiarity with React and Next.js is a bonus.

• Knowledge of Python is advantageous.

• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD tools and processes is beneficial.
