Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Provide IAM (Identity & Access Management) functionalities throughout the Ping platform, covering the entire stack from infrastructure and databases to user interface experiences.

• Assist in the design and execution of APIs, models, workflows, orchestration interfaces, and services.

• Explore and prototype solutions in emerging fields, collaborating with senior technical leaders and product teams to transform validated concepts into product features.

• Collaborate closely with product management, UX, and engineering teams across Ping to refine features and designs, delivering elegant, user-friendly, and scalable results for customers.

• Engage in development life cycle activities, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and production support.

• Utilize modern AI tools such as Claude Code in daily engineering tasks to enhance research, code comprehension, prototyping, implementation, and documentation while upholding strong engineering principles.

• Communicate effectively, share knowledge, and assist fellow engineers through design discussions, code reviews, and project delivery.

• Continuously adjust to changing customer requirements, technological advancements, and innovative working methods.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in designing, building, testing, and operating production services using technologies like Java, JavaScript, Google Cloud, Docker, and Kubernetes, along with a willingness to expand your expertise.

• Capability to leverage AI engineering tools to enhance research, code comprehension, prototyping, implementation, and documentation while exercising sound engineering judgment.

• Experience in creating production services, distributed systems, or shared platform functionalities.

• Background in designing and implementing APIs, RESTful services, integration contracts, and data or domain models.

• Expertise in transforming requirements and ambiguous challenges into designs, prototypes, and production-ready solutions.

• Familiarity with authentication, authorization, and identity management.

• Strong ability to articulate technical decisions clearly, collaborate across teams and time zones, and provide support to other engineers through feedback and knowledge exchange.
