This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Analyze and eliminate bottlenecks to enhance video workflows for encoding and delivery.

• Incorporate AI-driven tools into development processes to expedite build cycles and minimize manual efforts.

• Construct and oversee scalable cloud-native applications on OCI and GCP for video processing tasks.

• Create, develop, and sustain microservices that support a modular and scalable architecture for video platforms.

• Collaborate in re-architecting and transitioning monolithic systems to microservices-based cloud frameworks.

• Monitor and enhance the performance, reliability, and scalability of microservices throughout the video pipeline.

• Keep abreast of trends in software engineering and video technology to guide future innovations.

• Promote teamwork and collaboration within the engineering organization.

• Modernize and optimize the cloud video encoding platform.

• Design and implement architectures based on microservices.

• Develop and deploy tools and automation driven by AI.

• Create and scale cloud-native video transcoding solutions on GCP and OCI.

• Work collaboratively with engineers across Desktop, OTT, and Mobile platforms.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience as a Software Engineer.

• More than 5 years of experience with Golang, Java, or Python.

• Proficient in utilizing AI tools in software development, including prompt engineering.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools such as Cursor.

• Experience with large language models like Anthropic Claude.

• At least 3 years of experience in designing, building, and maintaining microservices architectures.

• Over 3 years of experience with cloud/SaaS services including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or Google Cloud.

• BS/MS Degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.

• Proficient with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.

• Skilled in technical writing and design documentation.

• Knowledge of video codecs and protocols such as H.264, HEVC, AV1, HLS, and RTMP.

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
