Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop new and enhance existing fintech and payment systems

• Engage in the creation of next-generation financial products

• Provide guidance and mentorship to fellow developers

• Design and implement production services utilizing Go, microservices, databases, and cloud solutions

• Create APIs and tools for various products and services

• Replicate customer issues and contribute to the enhancement of troubleshooting tools

• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, business development teams, and company leadership

• Manage the complete release lifecycle from feature development to both public and hosted releases

• Contribute to system documentation

• Independently fulfill complex requirements

• Enhance Moov’s agentic toolset

• Work alongside and direct AI agents to generate maintainable, traceable, and production-ready code

• Ensure that AI-generated code adheres to engineering standards for telemetry, error handling, test-first design, API contracts, type safety, and observability

• Collaborate with a global network of over 2,000 developers

⛳️ Requirements

• Self-motivated in building and planning production systems

• Previous experience in developing complex software using Go

• Familiarity with and experience in microservice architectures

• Experience utilizing AI tools for specification-driven development

• Capability to provide context, rules, and technical specifications for AI-generated production code

• Experience in the fintech/payments sector

• Ability to devise simple and innovative solutions to intricate problems

• Skilled at quickly diagnosing issues and implementing immediate solutions in a high-availability setting

• Highly adaptable to changing business needs

• Knowledge of one or more ISO specifications related to fintech/payments

• Experience with database manipulation and optimization

• Familiarity with financial risk/compliance requirements and development of regulatory-aligned features

• Knowledge of open-source software (OSS) tools and active participation in the OSS community

• Understanding of the benefits and limitations of AI in technical and/or financial contexts

• Proficiency in Go, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Postgres, AlloyDB, Spanner, HTTP/2, JSON, Kafka, events, webhooks, and microservices
