Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and secure software for Marketplacer's cloud-native SaaS platform.

• Architect and deliver new functionalities.

• Contribute to the data platform by creating reliable data models, metrics, and dashboards.

• Manage projects from inception to delivery, including architecture validation and design.

• Enhance code quality through code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration.

• Provide technical mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.

• Advocate for software engineering best practices and practical developer tools, including AI-assisted workflows.

• Collaborate with Product and UX/UI teams to deliver high-quality features.

• Tackle complex business challenges and real-world scaling issues.

• Influence engineering practices and technical design.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in object-oriented programming, such as Ruby, Python, Java, C#, or similar languages.

• Familiarity with web application frameworks, particularly Ruby on Rails.

• Practical experience integrating AI coding tools or LLM APIs into daily workflows or features.

• Strong foundational skills in software engineering.

• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, and continuous integration methodologies.

• Proficient in SQL.

• Experience with both relational and non-relational databases.

• Extensive experience with AWS and data services.

• Proven track record of building cloud-native solutions and addressing scaling challenges.

• Experience in designing and validating architectures.

• Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
