Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Lead projects from inception to completion, transforming ambiguous challenges into impactful solutions.

• Collaborate across the technology stack with product, design, data, and operations teams as necessary.

• Work closely with product teams to define problems and provide secure, reliable, and maintainable systems.

• Take ownership of the complete delivery process for intricate features or essential workflows.

• Establish technical strategies that prioritize simplicity, reliability, and maintainability.

• Facilitate technical discussions involving cross-functional team members and stakeholders.

• Spearhead the diagnosis of challenging production issues utilizing hypothesis-driven analysis and production data.

• Ensure foundational observability, including metrics, logs, and exceptions, right from the project's start.

• Guide, mentor, and assist junior engineers through pairing and unblocking challenges.

• Collaborate with team members to enhance expertise across the group.

• Take responsibility for data accuracy, quality, observability, auditing, confidentiality, and incident response within project data pathways.

• Design and uphold schemas and transformations, covering tables, events, and payloads.

• Create monitoring systems for data invariants and potential failure modes.

• Enhance architecture, modularity, layering, and boundaries within the systems.

• Influence the technical trajectory, testing, operational practices, reviews, and deployment methods.

• Set a standard through exemplary reviews, incident management, and technical planning.

• Collaboratively shape solutions with the team, comprehend the core business problem, and steer relevant project metrics.
