Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Uruguay, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the comprehensive development of the Hint Core product across the full stack.

• Collaborate with product management to design, develop, and implement scalable software solutions.

• Define project scope and deliver effective solutions.

• Create, enhance, and modify AI processes to expedite development.

• Enhance tools, workflows, support, collaboration, and teamwork.

• Engage in code reviews and produce technical design documentation.

• Maintain a high standard of code quality and scalable development practices.

• Recognize and advocate for improvements that enhance system scalability.

• Promote a collaborative work culture and support intentional decision-making.

• Ensure alignment of work with the company's business objectives.

• Provide and invite constructive feedback to foster team and individual development.

• Collaborate closely with engineers and product management to develop top-tier software.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience.

• Preferably, at least 3 years of experience in a product-oriented company.

• Demonstrated success in developing and delivering software products.

• Experience in SaaS is an advantage.

• Capability to utilize AI tools while ensuring accountability for the quality and integrity of final results.

• Experience with large, intricate systems.

• Strong technical proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.

• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails is a plus.

• Experience with Elm or other typed functional frontend languages is an asset.

• Practical experience with cloud-based, scalable architectures, preferably AWS.

• Knowledge of agile methodologies.

• Experience in a startup environment with a focus on identifying efficiency improvements.

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining high quality.

• Excellent communication skills across engineering, product, and design teams.

• Background in billing/payments, healthcare technology, Fintech, or EMR/EHR is advantageous.

• Must reside in and be legally eligible to work for any employer in Uruguay, Costa Rica, or Mexico.

• Willingness to overlap with US business hours, approximately 8 AM to 4 PM PST.
