Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Design and maintain Java/Spring Boot microservices and RESTful APIs.

• Create and execute integrations utilizing APIs, messaging, managed file transfer, and file-based interfaces.

• Assist in the onboarding process for external vendors and client organizations to the Gainwell Connect platform.

• Develop and support cloud-native solutions utilizing OpenShift/Kubernetes and AWS services.

• Establish security measures, authentication, authorization, logging, auditing, and RBAC functionalities.

• Contribute to the creation of technical design documents, interface agreements, runbooks, and operational guides.

• Create monitoring solutions, dashboards, and observability tools for production operations.

• Engage in performance testing, troubleshooting, production support, and continuous improvement efforts.

• Work collaboratively with architects, analysts, product teams, and external vendors on integrations, onboarding, and platform upgrades.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of software development experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.

• More than 5 years of experience in system integration, including API development, OAuth2, JSON/XML, API Gateway technologies, and integration methodologies.

• At least 3 years of experience with cloud and container platforms such as AWS, Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

• A minimum of 3 years in database development using PostgreSQL, SQL, data modeling, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.

• Familiarity with Kafka, Camel, MOVEit/MFT, and Angular SPA development.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and production support capabilities.

• Openness to work a flexible schedule to meet business requirements and travel as necessary.

• Video cameras are required to be on during all interviews and throughout the first week of orientation.
